Changes in Important Filing Deadlines

In order to cut down on identity theft, several filing deadlines have been moved up for 2016 filing season:

1)    W-2s and Form 1099MISC (non-employee payments): filed with the IRS and
furnished to the payee no later than January 31, 2017.

2)    Partnerships on a year end fiscal year: filed with IRS by March 15th, 2017.

Taxpayers who fail to comply with these deadlines may be subject to penalties.
